Boeing 737 Flips Over Utility Truck With Wing Tip
There’s a good discussion going on at the Australasian Aviation Ground Safety Council’s LinkedIn group site. Ian Bell has posted a video that shows that there’s no such thing as a “little” accident in this industry as a B-737 clips a ground service vehicle, knocking it over on its side during a final taxi to the apron.
Most of the currently eight responses point out that the truck looks as if it were parked where it should be – just not within the parameters of where it could be given the plane’s winglets.
It’s worth watching as Bell says “as a reminder of the clearances and parking within designated areas.”
