A van lost control and ploughed into a cargo loader at Chennai International Airport, leaving the driver and his co-passenger injured.

Around 11 a.m.on Monday, the vehicle, contracted to a private airline, was moving near parking bay number 5. According to sources, the vehicle suddenly veered out of control and rammed the working loader.

Airport staff and cargo workers rushed to their rescue and rushed the two men to a private hospital in Pazhavanthangal. The loader that was being operated by air operations contractor Bhadra Services was mildly damaged in the accident, as was the cargo plane.

An inquiry has begun into the accident and airport officials would be investigating the cause for the accident.
