Josh Headshot 610aa873350a4Despite lingering international travel restrictions, airline traffic is on the rise. While still below pre-pandemic levels, passenger demand has been trending up each month.
It seems safe to say that many people, particularly within the industry, are ready to return to the skies, and we are anticipating an uptick in travel for the team at Ground Support Worldwide and AviationPros, as well.
Our team has recently attended the AAAE Annual Conference and EAA AirVenture 2021, and both events have been great opportunities to reconnect with the industry face-to-face.
We’re fortunate that we’ve been able to stay in communication digitally through virtual events, webinars and video conferences, but my biggest takeaway from EAA AirVenture was how much the industry is craving in-person interaction.
Fortunately, there are a number of opportunities for these connections as the calendar flips to fall.
The Ground Support Worldwide team, specifically, is looking forward to attending the International GSE Expo at Casears Forum in Las Vegas, inter airport Europe in Munich and the IATA Ground Handling Conference in Prague.
Of course, there are additional events on the horizon as well. Readers can refer to the Business Buzz section of each issue of the magazine for a schedule of upcoming events, and utilize our Events resource page by visiting AviationPros.com/Events.
Our team is ready to connect in-person too, and encourages governments to utilize lessons learned from the past year and a half to navigate the challenges posed by the Delta variant of COVID-19, so that boarders can be opened to facilitate face-to-face collaboration within our industry.
