The new contract sees Menzies Aviation handling a three-times weekly direct service to Shenzhen, China, where the airline is headquartered. The city is known as China’s Silicon Valley and is a mega city of 12 million people.

Tomeu Mas, VP LHR said: “Shenzhen Airlines is a subsidiary airline of Air China and fits nicely into our Star Alliance handling portfolio in Terminal 2 at Heathrow. We’re really pleased to expand our operation at LHR by an additional 150 flights a year.”
