Union Leader Defends Strike Plan in Australia

A union leader poised to unleash industrial mayhem through a co-ordinated strike involving 38,000 workers across airports and the road transport industry has rejected employer claims the action would breach pattern bargaining laws.

The Transport Workers Union is threatening to unleash "industrial chaos" through co-ordinated strikes in pursuit of a bigger share of profits from retailers and airlines while negotiating 200 enterprise agreements set to expire next year.
