SATS has provided smart watches to its workers at Singapore Changi Airport that are paired with hands-free headsets to improve operations.

In a report by the Straits Times, the ground handling company said utilizing this technology enables the dissemination and receiving of information and data such as work schedules and instructions. Because of greater efficiency with communications, SATS said it is able to better allocate resources for greater productivity.

The smart watches are paired with bone-conductor headsets via Bluetooth, according to the report, which allows technical ramp personnel to make and receive hands-free calls while increasing safety and ease of collaboration.
