It was announced at the conclusion of the 2024 International Air Transport Association (IATA) Ground Handling Conference, in Reykjavík, Iceland, that next year's edition of the event will take place in Nairobi, Kenya.
Speaking in the final plenary session of the this year's event, Monika Mejstrikova, director of ground operations at IATA, noted the Kenya Airway will serve as the host airline. The event is expected to take place in May 2025.
The 2024 IATA Ground Handling Conference (IGHC) focused on three key themes - improving safety and reducing operational risk; implementing global standards; and sustainability.
