The FAA is preparing to investigate airlines it believes failed to follow required flight-reduction orders at key U.S. airports during the recent government shutdown. Administrator Bryan Bedford said carriers that didn’t meet the mandated cuts will receive formal letters of investigation, with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy adding that any non-compliance should carry consequences.
