Head of Lufthansa Group Subsidiary Brussels Airlines Resigns

Christina Foerster, a member of Lufthansa Group's executive board, is to take over the position as Brussels Airlines chief executive on an interim basis.

Brussels — The chief executive officer of Brussels Airlines, Peter Gerber, resigned from his post on Tuesday, the Lufthansa Group subsidiary announced in a press release.

Gerber, who has led the Belgian airline since March 2021 and worked for for Lufthansa Group since 1992, is to leave the airline group, Brussels Airlines wrote.

Christina Foerster, a member of Lufthansa Group's executive board, is to take over the position as Brussels Airlines chief executive on an interim basis. Foerster already served as the airline's chief executive from 2018 until 2020.
