Oct. 25—San Luis Obispo travelers will once again be able to fly to and from Los Angeles when flights return next week after a nearly two-year hiatus.

United Airlines will restore its twice-daily, nonstop routes between the two cities on Nov. 1, the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport announced in a news release on Monday.

The first flight leaves SLO at 6 a.m. and arrives in L.A. at 7:11 a.m., and the next flight departs at 10:45 a.m. and arrives in L.A. at 11:56 a.m.

The flights from L.A. leave at 10:50 a.m. arriving in SLO at 11:52 a.m. and 10:45 p.m. arriving at 11:45 p.m.

"We are delighted to see this connectivity return," said Courtney Johnson, SLO County's director of airports. "These convenient flights to LAX are resuming right as international travel is opening back up, and having twice-daily nonstop flights from SBP will make it easier for our community to reach their destination of choice — and avoid the inconvenient drive to L.A."

United suspended its SLO-to-L.A. service shortly after the pandemic hit in April 2020.

United will operate the flights on 50-seat Canadair regional jets.

The airline also provides nonstop service from SLO to San Francisco and from SLO to Denver.

Tickets are on sale now at united.com.
