Five babies boarding a plane isn't a cause for applause to some, but it was for passengers of a recent JetBlue flight.

Just in time for Mother's Day JetBlue unveiled the "FlyBabies" promotion to the passengers of a April 15 flight from New York City to Long Beach, California. All passengers on board the flight were offered a 25 percent discount on future airfare every time a baby on board cried.

By the time the seven-hour flight arrived to its destination, all five of the babies has cried, meaning every one of the 140 passengers received free a round-trip flight with JetBlue.

"People smile at babies everywhere, except on planes," Elizabeth Windram, JetBlue's director brand management and advertising told CNN. "For Mother's Day, we wanted to acknowledge how moms (indeed all parents and caregivers) often feel stressed while traveling with children."

Passengers of Flight 213 were made award of the stunt after the first food and beverage service.

By the time the flight reached Long Beach, passengers were cheering and clapping for the crying babies. Even though the promotion seems like a success, JetBlue told Fortune they would likely not be offering the deal on any other flights.

The flight was documented and featured in JetBlue's "FlyBabies" promotion by the MullenLowe agency.
