Airbus Launches Agnet Turnaround: Enhancing Airport Operations With a Cutting-Edge Digital Collaborative Platform

April 16, 2024
In response to increasing demands for efficiency of aircraft turnaround operations, Airbus Public Safety and Security has developed a tailored solution dedicated to airport and ground handlers.

Airbus Public Safety and Security has officially launched Agnet Turnaround for airport and ground handlers, a new innovative smart and secure collaborative platform to address the complexities of ground operations. The announcement was made at the Passenger Terminal Expo in Frankfurt.

Airport infrastructure faces challenges in expandability, time management, operational efficiency, and capacity constraints among others. The management of ground operations illustrates the great complexity of the processes and the level of interdependence between the various actors involved. In response to those increasing demands for efficiency of aircraft turnaround operations, Airbus Public Safety and Security has developed Agnet Turnaround, a tailored solution dedicated to airport and ground handlers.

At the core of Agnet Turnaround is the ability to reach the right individuals while simultaneously monitoring real-time operations and enhancing time-performance. Beyond fostering real-time situational awareness of workflows, automation plays a key role in augmenting ground operational productivity through automatic group creation, alerts, and the assignment of relevant human resources. By integrating direct communication capabilities, Agnet Turnaround stands out as a pivotal solution benefiting the entire airport ecosystem.

It ensures not only the safety of operations but also contributes to the overall efficiency of airport turnaround processes by improving punctuality, reducing environmental impact, increasing air traffic capacity, and decreasing the cost of operations.

“With this launch, Airbus reaches a new milestone bringing its long-standing experience in secure communications and enables stakeholders within the airport industry to meet the challenges of operational efficiencies, collective performance. This solution is opening doors to automation”, Eric Davalo, head of Strategic Development at Airbus Public Safety and Security.
