Spirit Airlines has successfully completed the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) for 2023. IOSA is the global industry standard for airline operational safety, and Spirit participated in the audit as part of its IATA membership renewal. The audit reviews a carrier’s organization and management system as well as safety measures in areas such as flight operations, dispatch, maintenance, ground handling, security, cabin operations and cargo. Airlines that complete and pass the audit join the IOSA Registry, and Spirit’s registration renewal is valid for two years.
