Ranking Lists the Worst Airports for Baggage Claim

Some of the largest airports and connecting hubs in the U.S. also rank among the worst for their baggage claims, according to a ranking by SITA.

A total of 36.1 million bags were mishandled in 2023, according to SITA, a multinational information technology company and network of airlines providing worldwide IT solutions and communication services to airlines and airports.

Some airports are more efficient and better at handling luggage than others, and the same is true of airlines. Surprisingly, some of the largest airports and connecting hubs in the U.S. also rank among the worst for their baggage claims, as SITA's ranking shows.
