Apple AirTags to the Rescue as Lost Bags Cost U.S. Airlines $150 Million

Despite bans and potential embarassment from some airlines, passengers have been using Apple AirTags to track their checked bags, and now some carriers are embracing the new technology as a way of reducing costs associated with lost luggage.

With the launch of iOS 18.2 three months ago, it became possible to share the location of an AirTag including with airlines.
