Cambata Workers Call Off Hunger Strike After State Government Intervenes
Oct. 16, 2018
Social activist Anjali Damania, who has been on a hunger strike since October 10 demanding the release of salaries of 2,700 workers of the now defunct Cambata Aviation Private Limited, called it off after the state government accepted their demands.
Damania and workers of Cambata Aviation, a ground handling agency at Mumbaiairport, have been protesting at Sahar village in Andheri, demanding that the workers, left in the lurch after the company folded up in August 2016, be paid their dues.
