Baltic Ground Services (BGS), an international provider of ground handling, aircraft fueling, and logistics services, continues strengthening its long-lasting partnership with Europe’s no. 1 airline Ryanair. Under the renewed contract, BGS will provide Ryanair with into-plane fueling at Vilnius and Palanga airports in Lithuania, and Leoš Janáček airport in the Czech Republic. The contract will come into effect on April 1, 2023 for a period of one year.
Vitalis Dudys, BGS group head of commerce, commented: “Since the beginning of the partnership with Ryanair, our focus on quality, safety and client needs has formed the bedrock of our collaboration. We are elated that an industry-leading airline sees us as a reliable and experienced partner.”
The renewal comes as an extension of a more than seven-year long lasting partnership between the companies. The most recent contract update took place in December 2022, when BGS and Ryanair extended a partnership agreement for into-plane fueling at Riga International Airport, Latvia for one year.
Steven Fitzgerald, head of sustainability at Ryanair said: “As an industry leader, we hope for nothing but the best from our chosen partners. BGS meets our highest standards and expectations and has been delivering exceptional fueling services since we first began the cooperation. We are thrilled to continue working with them and look forward to further strengthening our partnership.”
Established in 1984, Ryanair is currently Europe’s biggest airline and the largest in the world outside the US. The Irish-based airline’s route network serves 40 countries in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
BGS is a family member of Avia Solutions Group – the largest global ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance) provider with more than 165 aircraft fleet, operating in all continents in the world. The group also provides various aviation services such as MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul), pilots and crew trainings, ground handling and other interconnected solutions.
