With the aim of optimizing the certification and measurement processes of ramp services, Intercargo, a ramp ground handling company in Argentina, has implemented the electronic Digital Certification Service on the runway. Its main goal is to enter the operations data, which had been traditionally saved in paper, in real time by the side of the plane.

The above stated process automatically digitalizes the whole information of the services rendered to an aircraft. Once the information is uploaded to the form that is displayed in each device, it remains available both for Intercargo and for the airlines that have received the service.

In order to implement and enhance this system, Intercargo has contracted, via tender, a mobile application development. Conversations have taken place so as to coordinate all the control variables in the operation in which they participate as well as the main airlines that receive this digital service.

Main advantages:

·      Certification by the side of the plane.

·       Reduction of data uploading time and typing mistakes.

·       Pre-defined certification tasks according to aircraft type, airport and Airline Company.

·       Centralization of the certification information of each company on Intercargo’s online website (tasks, times, and images)

·       Development of service standards metrics throughout the entered data.

·       Contribution to the environment as for the elimination of printed forms.
