BGS, an international provider of ground handling and aircraft fueling services, has prolonged the cooperation with airBaltic – a low-cost carrier (LCC) from Latvia. The agreement covers ground handling services provided at Warsaw Chopin International Airport (WAW).
The extended ground handling contract strengthens long-standing partnership between the companies spanning across six airports in Central and Eastern Europe. BGS already provides airBaltic with aircraft fueling services in Vilnius, Warsaw, Riga, Odessa, Kaunas and Palanga airports.
“Maintaining the trust of the biggest airline in the Baltics in the competitive environment of Warsaw airport is a clear proof of the quality of our services. This further strengthens our positions in the Polish market as well as gives us the confidence and motivational boost for the expansion of our operations,” said Linas Geguzis, chairman of the board at BGS. “We are looking forward to expanding our cooperation with airBaltic in our new markets such as Ukraine, as well as grow the volume of our partnership in Warsaw and other locations.”
With presence in 15 airports in seven countries, each year BGS provides 250,000 tons of aviation fuel and handles more than 2.4 million passengers. BGS is part of Avia Solutions Group, an international publicly traded aviation holding company with over 20 subsidiaries worldwide.
