Aviapartner Ends Strike at Brussels Airport

The nearly week-long strike action affected 115,000 travelers and canceled 960 flights, according to Reuters.

Brussels Airport announced baggage handlers with Aviapartner have ended their strike and resumed work as of noon Wednesday.

The airport's statement said operations would build up gradually during the course of the day and should be fully operational again Thursday.

For updates on a flight's status, passengers should check the Brussels Airport website or follow up with an airline. The statement also said passengers having luggage that is lost are not recommended to come to the airport but to wait until they have been contacted personally.

According to a Reuters report, the nearly week-long strike action affected 115,000 travelers and canceled 960 flights. According to Reuters, the ground handling company has a license with Brussels airport until 2025.
