Thousands of airline catering employees stocking the planes at the San Francisco International Airport are voting to strike this week amid stalled contract negotiations and federal mediation.
Represented by the hospitality workers' union Unite Here, employees of LSG Sky Chefs and Gate Gourmet — two of the largest airline catering subcontractors in the country — are submitting strike authorization votes through Thursday at the regional airport.
