Cutter Aviation Inducted Into International Air & Space Hall of Fame Alongside FBO President & CEO Will Cutter

Dec. 19, 2022

Cutter Aviation—the oldest Phillips 66 Aviation branded FBO—recently announced the induction of Will Cutter and Cutter Aviation into the International Air & Space Hall of Fame at the San Diego Air & Space Museum.

The recognition commemorates the FBO’s commitment to the aviation industry for nearly a century. Based in Phoenix, Cutter Aviation is the oldest family owned and operated FBO in the nation.

“It is a great honor to be admitted to the International Air & Space Hall of Fame alongside many great aviation pioneers,” said Will Cutter, President & CEO of Cutter Aviation. “I share this recognition with my family, our legacy, and the entire Cutter Aviation team.”

Cutter Aviation holds the longest corporate relationship with Phillips 66 Aviation for more than 85 years, growing from one FBO location to now six locations and five airplane maintenance locations.

“We are thrilled to see our longtime customer and partner Cutter Aviation inducted into a prestigious institution such as the International Air & Space Hall of Fame,” said Sunny Lopez, Manager, Aviation, Phillips 66. “As we continue our strong, historic relationship with Cutter Aviation, we anticipate more great things to come.”

Cutter has increased their infrastructure at several FBOs by putting in more fuel tanks and building hangars at several of its locations to expand for future growth opportunities. They are also adding more refuelers to their fleet to handle increasing fuel growth throughout their locations. Cutter was also recently awarded the contract with the largest private jet fleet operator in the world, representing 1MM gallons per year.

Will Cutter, the fourth generation to lead the FBO as president and CEO, is a prominent figure within several aviation organizations and associations. In addition, he established the William R. “Bill” Cutter Memorial Scholarship at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in 2018. Cutter Aviation continues to foster a family-oriented atmosphere at the FBO, having welcomed two of Cutter’s four children, William D. and Anna to the team this year.

Since 1963, the International Air & Space Hall of Fame honors the world’s most significant pilots, crew members, visionaries, inventors, aerospace engineers, business leaders, preservationists, designers and space explorers.

Thank you, Cutter Aviation, for your committed growth with Phillips 66 Aviation, and congratulations on this incredible achievement!
