APP Jet Center Manassas Completes Full Renovation and Begins Hangar Expansion

NEW CANAAN, Conn., Sept. 25, 2019 – APP Jet Center, an aviation company that owns three fixed based operations (FBOs) and a portfolio of airport real estate, is pleased to announce that the full renovation of its FBO at Manassas Regional Airport (HEF) in the Washington, DC market is complete. Also at HEF, APP’s construction of an 18,000-square-foot hangar/office facility is underway and its purchase of a 12,000-square-foot hangar/office facility has been finalized.

The million-dollar renovation was managed by NFI Interiors and BDA Architects in a mid-century modern design, the signature style of APP Jet Center FBOs. The renovated facility includes:

  • Expanded main lobby
  • Expanded crew areas
  • New snooze rooms
  • New conference room
  • New shower facilities
  • Addition of a full galley

In July 2019, APP Jet Center won an area-wide competition for the right to build an 18,000-square-foot office/hangar facility at HEF that will be available to customers in October 2020. APP also completed the acquisition of an existing hangar/office facility at HEF. Combined, these new facilities increase APP’s total hangar space at HEF to 250,000 square feet. They expand APP’s overall portfolio to 700,000 square feet of hangar facilities in its four locations:  Denver, Colo.; Fort Pierce, Fla. (Treasure Coast); Hayward, Calif. (San Francisco); and Manassas, Va. (Washington, DC).
