CloudNine Lands at Camarillo Airport

April 4, 2019

RKR Inc. brainchild of real estate developer Ron Rasak announced the launch of CloudNine, a private hangar complex offering “luxury hangar enclaves for the discerning aircraft owner,” with its first location at Camarillo Airport (KCMA) in Camarillo, Calif. With a recently-secured 50-year land entitlement from Ventura County, CloudNine is now accepting Letters of Intent on its ultra-private, 7-acre hangar campus at Camarillo, which is set to break ground in December of this year.

The CloudNine campus, which boasts a private airport entrance, will hold four private hangars of 25,000 square feet, each with up to 5,000 of attached Class A office. Each hangar features luxury amenities designed for the private hangar owner in mind, including attached garages, energy-efficient LED interior and exterior hangar lighting, commercial grade kitchen, and an executive office and lounge with attached private bathroom and walk-in closets. A glazed entry lobby and lounge area, white epoxy floors, flight department offices and fitness rooms are also standard. Aircraft owners may choose any of the FBOs at Camarillo Airport for fueling and related line services.

Rasak said, “Our theory is that owners of larger jet aircraft — if given the option — value higher levels of privacy, security and luxury than are found in community hangar storage options at most FBOs today.”

Ventura County Supervisor John Zaragoza notes, “We’re seeing rapid growth in the Camarillo area and with it increased demand for infrastructure. We’re highly supportive of the CloudNine project, which brings new hangar development to our airport.” Deputy Director of Airports of Airports Jorge Rubio echoes Supervisor Zaragoza’s support. “CloudNine is a win-win for our airport community, and brings a niche offering in the form of new, private hangars, that complements our FBOs on field.”

With a philosophy of “one hangar, one owner,” Rasak notes the market has already responded, and one of the four hangars at CloudNine is already under LOI. Notes Rasak, “We’re honored to bring such a significant development project to Ventura County’s Camarillo Airport, and to the greater business aviation community. CloudNine is truly without equal in not only the Southern California hangar market, but the country.”
