Everest Fuel, a leading supplier of contract fuel services, established the award to distinguish its highest performing FBOs for exceptional facilities, service and fuel safety.

FORT WORTH, Texas – Jan. 31, 2019 – American Aero FTW, a fixed-base operator at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport, was among the first FBOs in the nation to receive the inaugural Everest Fuel Preferred Award at the 2019 NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference this week.

Everest Fuel, a leading supplier of contract fuel services, established the award to distinguish its highest performing FBOs for exceptional facilities, service and fuel safety. Selection criteria included an on-site audit confirming adherence to ATA 103 fuel quality control procedures and NATA Safety 1st or other equivalent training for line service personnel.

“FBOs like American Aero are making a marked difference as they lead our industry into its second century,” said Joseph M. Martinsek, president of Everest Fuel. “The Everest Fuel Preferred Award honors those FBOs for their unwavering commitment to safe operations, excellent service, modern facilities and taking a long-term approach to relationships.”

American Aero opened the doors to a new, state-of-the-art facility in 2017. Last year, the FBO was recognized by AIN readers among the top 5 percent of FBOs worldwide, and team member Angela Thurmond was named one of the world’s top 20 CSRs.

American Aero also leads the industry in safety, as one of the first FBOs to earn IBAC’s rigorous

International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH™) Stage 1 and Stage 2 certifications. In 2018, American Aero became the first FBO in the world to be awarded Stage 3 certification. IS-BAHincorporates a safety management system in all aspects of FBO operations and is aligned with International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) standards. That includes delivering pristine fuel and incorporating safety protocols in all aspects of the organization.

“We are exceptionally proud to receive the Everest Fuel Preferred Award, as it is further acknowledgement of the incomparable standards that we have set for ourselves on behalf of our clients,” said American Aero founder Robert M. Bass. “Our mission is to provide an exceptional experience for our clients at every touchpoint, and nowhere is that more important than the safety of the flight crews and the passengers we serve. We don’t just adhere to best practices; we aim to set the pace for the industry.”
