Nov. 29, 2017

Ware Malcomb on Nov. 29, announced the completion of the new Atlantic Aviation facilities at the Waukesha County Airport. Ware Malcomb provided interior architecture and design services for the project.

Atlantic Aviation is one of the largest networks of fixed base operations for airports in the United States, providing a wide range of aviation services at over 70 locations.

The 9,000 square foot Waukesha County Airport facility includes a terminal lounge, offices and executive conference rooms. Consistent with all Atlantic Aviation facilities, the design aesthetic emulates the characteristics of the geographic region that it serves. The new terminal design’s warm and inviting style represents the Midwestern locale and the interior architecture complements the streamlined design of the surrounding planes with clean lines and geometries.

“It was a great challenge to ensure that the facility design reflected the style of the region, while also remaining consistent with the Atlantic Aviation brand,” said Dawn Riegel, director, interior architecture & design of Ware Malcomb’s Chicago offices. “The goal was to create a welcoming, functional facility that would meet the varying needs of the customers who come through.”

The general contractor for the project was Morgan Harbour.
