Stellar Aviation Group announced Jan. 24, that it has acquired Horizon Aviation. Horizon, located at the Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield, Ill., was the premier FBO service provider at KSPI. With Stellar’s reputation for quality service and safety and its seasoned management team, the acquisition of Horizon puts another bright star in the Stellar FBO network.
Jonathan Miller, President of Stellar Aviation Group, stated, “This new location is the strategic cornerstone for our growing FBO Network as we look to expand further throughout the important Midwestern region. The Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport, under strong leadership and management, has grown its infrastructure and services throughout the last decade. The Airport currently provides extensive airline service and military support. Additionally, KSPI hosts a robust and growing GA and Corporate Aircraft community. Airport Director Mark Hanna, states, “We are pleased to welcome Stellar Aviation to the Springfield community as they will bring a wealth of operational experience and innovation to our airport. With the Airport’s new GA terminal and hangar rehabilitation project on the horizon to house Stellar, Springfield’s infrastructure will be significantly enhanced to meet its growing visitors and business groups.
