Universal Aviation To Close Bermuda FBO

Universal Aviation Bermuda officially began operations just a year ago.

Ground support operators Universal Aviation has announced that it will be closing its general aviation FBO at L.F. Wade International Airport at the end of August.

A press release announcing the decision explained Universal Aviation is the ground-support division of Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc.

“We have made the extremely difficult decision to close our Universal Aviation Bermuda ground support location effective August 31, as traffic did not meet the level we expected,” said Adolfo Aragon, senior vice president, Universal Aviation. “Universal Aviation would like to thank our loyal employees for their dedication. We would also like to thank the local airport authorities, and government officials for their support and for giving us the opportunity to provide ground support services over the last year.”

It stated that Universal Aviation Bermuda officially began operations in August of last year.
