ASTM International Additive Manufacturing Technologies Committee Presents Top Annual Award to Shane Collins

Collins, a general manager with Additive Industries North America, has previously served with 3D Systems, EOS of North America, Arcam, and CalRAM Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management from Purdue University.

W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., April 6, 2018 — ASTM International’s committee on additive manufacturing technologies (F42) presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Shane Collins of Additive Industries North America, in Camarillo, California, USA. The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for individual contributions to developing standards.

The committee honored Collins for exceptional productivity, outstanding contributions and leadership in developing standards related to additive manufacturing, and for significant contributions to the overall operation of the ASTM International committee on additive manufacturing technologies.

Collins has been a member of ASTM International since 2009 and is also a member of the committee on nondestructive testing (E07). The committee on additive manufacturing technologies awarded Collins with the Robert J. Painter Award in 2017.
