PASSUR Announces Launch of National Airport Information Network

Feb. 2, 2012
Program Provides New, Single Industry-Wide Platform to Manage Diversions, Tarmac Delays, and Airport Status

PASSUR AEROSPACE INC ("PSSR-0") - Launch of National Airport Information Network in Time - for Sunday's Big Game

PASSUR(r) Aerospace, Inc., a business intelligence software and solutions company, today announced the launch of the National Airport Information Network - a new, single, national site where airlines, airports, the FAA, and other key aviation constituencies can manage disruptions due to weather, congestion, and other irregular operations.

The program builds on proven, deployed, and widely used PASSUR capabilities in diversion management, tarmac delay management, and field condition reporting, consolidating them into a new single national program that: //st -- Proactively pushes alerts about changes in airport status plus other important instant messaging from airport operators, covering all airports in the National Air Space (NAS) -- Tracks actual diversions, both those currently on the ground and en route, anywhere in the system -- Provides a single source to track, alert, and manage tarmac delayed flights - either by airport, system-wide, or both

Components of these solutions and capabilities are used by dozens of airlines and airports, and thousands of aviation professionals every day - now consolidated into a single platform. One of the many airports already using the airport status and messaging capability is Indianapolis International Airport, home airport for Sunday's big game.

"Our ability to manage big events is enhanced by this industry-standard platform," said Mike Medvescek, chief operating officer for the Indianapolis Airport Authority. "We are better positioned to collaborate, coordinate, and communicate with our key constituencies - including airlines, cargo operators, corporate operators, the FAA and others - to ensure more predictable operations."

"The industry has been challenged to develop new technology, business practices, and protocols to prevent or manage disruptions during irregular operations and congestion," said Jim Barry, President and CEO of PASSUR Aerospace. "We're proud to introduce our National Airport Information Network to help address the enormous customer, business, and environmental issues at stake."
