Rockwell Collins Showcases Latest Aerospace Innovations at EAA AirVenture 2014, Returns as the Daily Air Show Sponsor

It is showcasing its latest aerospace innovations for at this year’s EAA AirVenture including Pro Line Fusion business aircraft avionics with touchscreen displays and Head-up Guidance (HGS).

OSHKOSH, Wis. (July 24, 2014) - Rockwell Collins is showcasing its latest aerospace innovations for at this year’s Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wis., including Pro Line Fusion® business aircraft avionics with touchscreen displays, Head-up Guidance (HGS™) for business and commercial airplanes and fighter-pilot headworn technology for military applications.

Attendees will experience of number of hands-on activities in Rockwell Collins’ pavilion.  Highlights include:

  • Getting a pilot’s-eye view by wearing Rockwell Collins’ advanced helmet display system for military aircraft
  • Virtually landing a Boeing 737 using a head-up display in Rockwell Collins’ HGS Theater
  • Trying out intuitive touch screen Pro Line Fusion avionics for business aircraft
  • Competing for high score of the week in a HGS Flight app tournament in which contestants virtually fly a business jet using HGS—the winner will receive a new David Clark headset
  • A Lego innovation station for people of all ages to construct their aviation-related design and instantly capture and print a keepsake photo.

For the fourth consecutive year, Rockwell Collins is the sponsor of the EAA AirVenture daily air shows, including the widely popular Night Air Show, which is two nights—Wednesday, July 30 and Saturday, Aug. 2. The Rockwell Collins Night Air Show is a one-of-kind signature event, bringing tens of thousands of people to the flight line to see some of the world’s best aerobatic artists performing in sync with pyrotechnics and music.
