Chandler, Arizona — 1/22/18 — TurbineAero has hired Geert Van Damme as its new Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for TurbineAero Repair USA (TAR) and TurbineAero Repair Thailand (TASA), the largest independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider of Auxiliary Power Units (APU) and related accessories. In this commercial leadership role, Geert is responsible for leading all Sales, Marketing & Services activities for APU systems MRO, APU lease and exchange, Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), and machined components within the EMEA region.
Geert joins TurbineAero with more than 25-years of industry experience across several aspects of aviation MRO. Geert joins TurbineAero from CFM International (CFMi), where he most recently served as Middle East Sales Director reporting into the SAFRAN/CFMi Sales head office in Villaroche, France. In this role, Geert lead CFMI’s maintenance strategy and partnerships with several of the leading airlines and MRO’s. Geert’s success at CFMi can be witnessed by the roles he previously held in both Program Management and Strategic Development. Geert began his career in aviation when he worked on Line & Base Maintenance at Lufthansa Technik in Brussels, Belgium. Geert graduated from Hogeschool Haarlem with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
