RED Aircraft GmbH Now a Member of the NAAA

July 22, 2020

July 22, 2020 - RED Aircraft GmbH is pleased to announce that it is now a member of the National Agricultural Aviation Association (NAAA). Founded in 1966, the NAAA represents approximately 1,600 members and supports small business owners and licensed pilots using aircraft as professional commercial aerial applicators to enhance food, fiber, and biofuel production. It also helps the aerial application industry and its members by providing networking, educational, government relations, public relations, recruiting and informational services.

The NAAA Ag Aviation Expo is the world’s largest agricultural aviation convention and trade show that takes place each year in December. This year, the expo is scheduled to take place on December 7–10, 2020 at Savannah Convention Center & Westin Savannah, Georgia. The show is extremely popular amongst agricultural pilots, operators, as well as allied suppliers to the agricultural aviation industry looking to achieve their professional goals and business objectives.

As a new member of the National Agricultural Aviation Association (NAAA), RED Aircraft GmbH looks forward to not only attending the NAAA Ag Aviation Expo 2020, but also exhibiting its cutting-edge RED A03 engine in front of the world’s largest targeted audience of purchasers of agricultural aviation equipment, parts and services. Participation in this expo will be a serious boost to RED Aircraft GmbH’s expansion plan in the US agricultural aviation market.

“We are most pleased to have RED Aircraft as a member of NAAA and exhibitor at our Ag Aviation Expo this December in Savannah,” stated Andrew Moore, NAAA Chief Executive Officer.

“Through membership and exhibition, RED Aircraft will have access to aerial application operators and pilots in the U.S., Canada, and other countries, which will bring awareness to its company and RED A03 piston engine—an exciting product needed for the ag aviation industry to help train and develop experience for the next generation of ag pilots and to diversify the industry’s fleet.”

The RED A03 piston engine is a purpose-design for aviation and is certified in the US (FAA) and in Europe (EASA). Having already undergone successful agricultural conversions in New Zealand, RED A03 engine has the potential to open-up lucrative opportunities for agricultural operators in America. Lower fuel consumption, affordability, lower operating cost, and short takeoff distance are the most important advantages of RED A03 compared to turboprops. Moreover, it can be operated with Jet fuel as well as Diesel fuel.

RED 03 engines also offer significant environmental benefits compared to other similar propulsion solutions, including low fuel burn, low exhaust gas pollution, reduced noise, and high thermodynamic efficiency.  Owing to its lower CO2 emissions, RED 03 is perfectly suited for developing hybrid-electric aircraft installations.
