Maintenance, Air Traffic, and the Doolittle Raid Among May/June Highlights of EAA Webinar Series

May 6, 2020

Aviators continue to find information and community in the Experimental Aircraft Association’s free webinar series, which in May and June features a wide spectrum of flying topics.

Tens of thousands of people have participated in the EAA webinar series over the past year, with a considerable uptick in attendance over the past two months, as current conditions have made it more difficult for pilots to gather in person. EAA brings aviation experts and personalities from throughout the community to share their knowledge and expertise each week.

“EAA’s webinars are perfect for what is perhaps the best part of aviation — enjoying the sense of community with others who share that passion for flying,” said Charlie Becker, EAA’s director of chapters, communities, and homebuilt community manager. “The upcoming webinars in May and June continue that tradition, with everything from pilot knowledge and aircraft maintenance to flying skills and aviation history.”

The webinars start at 7 p.m. Central time. Many of them are eligible for FAA WINGS and AMT credits through the FAA Safety Program. The upcoming series includes:

  • Thursday, May 7: Critical RV Flying Skills; Rian Johnson and Mike Seager*
  • Tuesday, May 12: ATC and You — Don’t Let that Cloud Mislead You; Richard Kennington and Bob Obma*
