MSc MIET MRAeS

Head of Aviation Safety and Quality Assurance at Hybrid Air Vehicles the world leaders in Hybrid Lighter than Air aircraft. David holds both CAA and EASA Form 4 approvals in his current role at HAV and is responsible for the implementation and management of SMS, Quality Assurance and Human factors support in the development of Airlander, a new aircraft type that combineslighter-than-air technology with the best of aero planes and helicopters to bring brand new capabilities to aircraftto the market for both commercial and military use.

Stathis Malakis

PhD

Stathis Malakis, PhD, is an air traffic controller working for the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority since 1999. He holds tower, approach procedural, approach radar and instructor/assessor ratings and endorsements. He is the safety focal point of Rhodes/Diagoras International Airport Air Traffic Control section.

Robert J. de Boer

MSc PhD

Robert is currently the Director of the Amsterdam Campus for Northumbria University. In this newly-created role he is responsible for the start-up of the Amsterdam campus and its growth to ~ 500 students of all levels (doctorates, masters, bachelors) in the coming few years. He will closely collaborate with many former colleagues of the HvA as the campus is co-located within the HvA facilities and the programs will be jointly delivered. He remains active in research as well.

Colin Dennis

Hon DUniv. BSc. C.Eng, FSaRS, FIMechE

Colin Dennis has an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Huddersfield, is a Fellow of both the Safety and Reliability Society (SaRS) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and has a degree in Energy Technology, from Aston University. Colin retired as Technical Director of RSSB in 2015 after 35 years’ experience in Safety and Reliability Engineering.
