George Town, Grand Cayman (6 September 2017) - The Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands (CAACI) is preparing to exhibit at the National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA) Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada on 10-12 October, 2017 to promote the Cayman Islands Aircraft Registry as the registry of choice for corporate and private aircraft and to raise the awareness to the Cayman Islands aviation industry in general.
NBAA is the premier event and annual meeting place for the business aviation community. This event brings together key aviation contacts from around the world, including current and prospective business aircraft owners, manufacturers and customers into one meeting place. NBAA-BACE promises to feature over 1,100 indoor exhibitors at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC)), two static displays of aircraft – one inside on the exhibit floor of the LVCC, and the other outside at Henderson Executive Airport (HND), more than 50 education and networking sessions with approximately 27,000 business aviation professionals.
The CAACI has been assigned booth number C11022 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) and will have senior CAACI Officials on-hand to answer questions on registering an aircraft in the Cayman Islands and maintaining aircraft on the registry thereafter. The CAACI will have technical aviation experts available to answer questions on airworthiness and flights operations matters. Also joining the CAACI to provide general financial and legal advice will be Cayman-based law firm, Maples & Calder, as well Aviation Management Services (Cayman) Ltd and for the first time, Cayman Enterprise City.
A press conference will be held on Monday 9th October to announce the expansion of the Maritime Park within the Special Economic Zone to include to Aviation Services. The Cayman Maritime & Aviation Services Park (CMASP) is envisioned to create the largest transportation services group in the region which will attract international maritime and aviation service businesses to set up a physical presence in the islands.
This expansion, the CMASP, can now include aircraft owners and brokers, technology companies and startups focused on aviation research and development, aircraft manufacturing and repair businesses, head offices of aviation industry businesses, businesses that provide management consultancy and any other specialized services relating to the aviation industry.
The new and exciting development of the aviation park is expected to be instrumental in further diversifying Cayman’s economy and will assist to grow our client base.
