Experience of a Lifetime: EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016 Collegiate Volunteer Program
EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, WISCONSIN — (June 7, 2016) — College students have the opportunity volunteer at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016. While volunteering, students can gain experience in their program of study while also getting a behind-the-scenes look at the World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration.
Volunteer positions include but are not limited to photographers, videographers, food and event management, grounds and facilities, administrative, customer service, and various aviation related roles. EAA will place students in support roles based on their interests.
During the time not volunteering, students can visit exhibits, see an air show, enjoy evening entertainment, and best of all, network with volunteers, corporate representatives, and other students. Individuals can pick the hours and dates they can work, and will gain access to exclusive benefits.
Benefits include:
· Admission wristbands (weekly wristband for volunteers who log at least 30 hours; a daily wristband for volunteers who log at least four hours on a specific day)
· Complimentary camping for those volunteering at least 30 hours
· A meal and beverages during volunteer shifts
· Exclusive events and activities
· A one-time, free six-month EAA membership when an application is completed
· Meet people from all over the world
Volunteers can get to know other volunteers in the program at the Collegiate Tailgate on Monday, July 25 at 5 p.m. This event will be held at Aviation Gateway Park and is open to all collegiate volunteers, those of college age, students and non-students alike. The event is sponsored by Aviation Supplies & Academics, Inc. and will have a cook-out and yard games.
