CPaT Global, the world’s leading provider of distance learning for the airline and aviation industry, announced that Mr. Brian Bergeron, CPaT’s current President, will assume the role of CPaT’s Executive Chairman of the Board of Managers, and that Mr. Kent Morrison will assume the role of CPaT President. Mr. Morrison most recently served as CPaT’s Vice President of Software Development. All changes were effective Jan. 1, 2021.

During his five-year tenure as President, Mr. Bergeron transformed CPaT into the market leader in aviation training through his innovative product vision, simplified business model, and expansion of customer services. His leadership has resulted in the addition of more than 150 new customers and 200 percent revenue growth. Mr. Bergeron will be joining Clovis Point Capital, CPaT’s private equity sponsor, as Partner. In remaining as Chairman of CPaT, Mr. Bergeron will remain involved in the company’s overall strategy and direction.

“Mr. Bergeron has done an amazing job of reimagining CPaT Global and aviation training in general,” said Mr. Christopher Joseph, Clovis Point’s Managing Partner & Principal. “CPaT is unrecognizable from the company he joined in 2016. He has redefined how aviation training is delivered and what is expected of a leading training organization. Clovis Point is excited to continue our relationship with Mr. Bergeron and look forward to leveraging his experience across our portfolio.”

Since joining CPaT in late 2016, Mr. Morrison has guided the development of CPaT’s expanded software platform, including CPaT Invent. He has also implemented new operational procedures and defined CPaT’s future product development plans and roadmap. In his role as President, Mr. Morrison will be responsible for all CPaT Global activities.

“Mr. Morrison has been a valued and trusted partner through the transformation of CPaT Global,” said Mr. Bergeron. “His perspectives on product functionality and service have modernized how training is delivered in the aviation industry. He continues to imagine and develop new ideas that will further expand the capabilities of CPaT to better serve customers into the future. I can’t imagine a better person to lead CPaT Global during its next exciting period of innovation and expansion.”
