OAKLAND – People can learn about careers working on aircraft during an upcoming job fair near Oakland International Airport.

Visitors to the fair can meet recruiters from national airlines, such as Delta and United, along with local and regional aviation companies.

People interested in a career, but who do not have the required certifications, can tour the institute’s campus during the fair and meet with its admissions representatives about training programs.

Individuals are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and come dressed in professional attire.

The Aviation Institute of Maintenance is a network of schools with campuses across the country.

“We are very excited to welcome these airlines to our campus for this career fair,” the institute’s Josh Smith said. “This marks an invaluable opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in aviation maintenance and provides an avenue for us to promote the various training options available here at AIM.”

The fair will take place at the school’s Oakland campus at 9636 Earhart Road.
