Air Partner's Baines Simmons Launches New Course on Understanding the Intent and Benefits of the EMAR System
Air Partner’s aviation safety consultancy division Baines Simmons has recently launched a new course entitled “Understanding the Intent and Benefits of the EMAR System”, which provides organisations with the knowledge to implement the EMARs in an effective and efficient way in order to maximize safety and reliability.
The European Military Airworthiness Requirements (EMARs) are issued by the European Defence Agency (EDA) and outline how airworthiness of military aircraft is to be initiated, maintained and managed. Based on the proven European civil regulations, the EMARs provide the potential to enable the armed forces to get more out of their aviation assets, whilst achieving significant savings.
Baines Simmons’ unique performance-focused and practical implementation approach is intended to help Military Aviation Authorities (MAAs) and wider Ministries of Defence (MODs) understand the requirements and set the foundations for performance, which should achieve the benefits enjoyed by commercial aircraft operators.
The course will focus on the EMARs and their philosophies, the privileges and obligations of approval holders, and the key drivers to achieving performance from the new system. It is intended for a range of aviation professionals, including MAA senior managers and leaders, MOD Directors and Military Commanders, among others.
The course has been designed by Baines Simmons’ Defence Aviation Regulations Leader, Kevin Hopwood. Kevin has previously established and developed a number of UK MOD training programmes and has delivered courses to many organisations in the UK, including the MAA, Leonardo helicopters, BAE Systems, Northrop Grumman, Serco and Vector Aerospace.
Kevin says: “We have launched this course to help clients really turn the new EMARs to their advantage. Understanding how the whole airworthiness system works to support aircraft end-users, and how the various stakeholders interact in a cohesive and effective manner, is the first step to reaping the potential benefits.”
The next “Understanding the Intent and Benefits of the EMAR System” course will take place on 20 February 2017 at the Aviation Safety Academy at Fairoaks Airport, Surrey. For more information, please email [email protected] or call +44 (0)1276 859 519 to speak to one of our Training Advisers.
This afternoon at 14.00 GMT, Bob Simmons and Duane Kritzinger of Baines Simmons will also host a seminar discussing the fundamentals required to ensure the successful implementation of EMARs. Please click here to register.
