Eastman Aviation Solutions Aims To Be Top Resource For Turbo Oil & Hydraulic Fluid Education

April 7, 2015
To provide beneficial turbo oil and hydraulic fluid education to operators, Eastman Aviation Solutions will be exhibiting at MRO Americas 2015, Booth #1100, at the Miami Beach Convention Center, April 14-16.

Kingsport, TN, April 7, 2015 – In an effort to provide beneficial turbo oil and hydraulic fluid education to operators from every facet of the aviation industry, Eastman Aviation Solutions will be exhibiting at Aviation Week’s MRO Americas 2015, Booth #1100, at the Miami Beach Convention Center, April 14-16, 2015.

This will be Eastman’s first time exhibiting at MRO Americas since acquiring the BP Turbo Oils business including the market leading Eastman Turbo Oil 2197. Since forming the new Eastman Aviation Solutions team, the company has already exhibited at numerous industry tradeshows, targeting different mark segments and geographical regions, including MRO Russia & CIS and HAI HeliExpo 2015.

“Our team’s main ambition is to make sure operators are aware of all of their turbo oil and hydraulic fluid options, and help them determine which oil and fluid is best for them,” said Paul Fridman, marketing manager, Eastman Aviation Solutions. “Tradeshows give us the unique opportunity to talk one-on-one with operators about their options and discuss how they can affect performance and efficiency, so we are looking forward to reaching the wide variety of operators who attend MRO Americas.”

In addition to increased tradeshow presence, Eastman recently launched two valuable informational tools for current and potential customers, the Eastman Aviation Solutions Value Calculator and Eastman Aviation Solutions’ Lubricant Academy; both of which have been fully functional since December 2014.

The all new Eastman Aviation Solutions Value Calculator is free to airline customers and will help determine the potential cost savings of utilizing high-performance capability (HPC) oil such as the industry standard Eastman Turbo Oil 2197. The calculator uses specific fleet information and flight operations data to determine the potential savings HPC oil can provide through fewer maintenance intervals and/or damaged parts. The Lubricant Academy is a unique educational tool that helps keep the aviation industry's engineers and maintenance personnel at the cutting edge in the face of technological change and global skills shortages by providing technical specification instruction and skills enhancement opportunities.

“Jet engine lubrication isn’t typically an area of focus when learning to become an aviation maintenance and engineering specialist, but it’s an important part of operating a healthy, well-functioning aircraft,” said Nicholas Cleary, global technical services, Eastman Aviation Solutions. “The academy fills this gap in education as it is aimed at supporting staff in all lubricant-related operations to help them get the most out of their power plant fleets.”
