Flight Schedule Pro Launches New Student Progress Tracking Dashboard

Oct. 28, 2020

Flight Schedule Pro recently announced the addition of a new Student Progress Tracking Dashboard. Developed in response to its customers’ shared challenge in monitoring their students’ ongoing performance, the Student Progress Tracking Dashboard enables flight schools to assess how a student is performing; whether they are ahead, on track, or at risk of falling behind in their flight training courses.

The easy to use Student Progress Tracking Dashboard features clear headings of student name, group, course, progress profile, instructor, the percentage of the overall lesson completion and the percentage of course minimums. Flight Schedule Pro co-founder and CEO Jasen Barnes explained that, “Our goal was to provide flight school operators with a tool that would enable them to better set learning objectives for their students toward helping them achieve their career goals. Through advanced analytics and reporting technologies, our dashboard empowers flight school instructors with a dynamic student progress tracking tool that gives them complete control over their students’ instruction.

Using the Flight Schedule Pro Student Progress Tracking Dashboard, flight school operators can create a progress profile based on a specific category such as “6-Month Private Pilot,” and then determine to which student(s) or group(s) the profile should be applied. Depending on the insights gained, the school can modify the definitions of “progress” and the dashboard will be rebuilt automatically to reflect the new performance/progress metrics. Once students begin their coursework, the progress reporting and tracking begins and will continue to reflect each student’s individual progress.

The dashboard offers complete progress transparency to both instructors and students which is visible on its Student Course Overview screen. With regular viewing of the dashboard, instructors can intercept a student falling behind, address any individual needs, make any adjustments, and put the student back on track.

“For many flight schools retaining high caliber instructors is as much a goal as enrolling students,” continued Barnes. “By giving instructors the right tools that enable them to better perform their roles, flight schools also are positioning themselves in the marketplace as forward-thinking, leading-edge organizations.”
