Xovis and Swedavia Join Forces to Improve Passenger Satisfaction in Scandinavia

July 10, 2017

Xovis further strengthens its presence in Scandinavia. The global market leader in people flow monitoring equips major Swedish airports with its 3D sensors and software solutions to measure KPIs such as waiting times, process times and passenger throughput. Xovis has prevailed in a competitive tender, called for by Swedavia. The operator of a network of ten Swedish airports including Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN), Göteborg Landvetter Airport (GOT) and Stockholm Bromma Airport (BMA) serves more than 40 million passengers per year.

Sweden’s three largest airports ARN, GOT and BMA will count on the Xovis system at various sites such as check-in, security checkpoint and passport control. Based on the gathered data, they can optimize resource management, improve passenger experience and ultimately increase passenger satisfaction. Swedavia’s smaller airports Malmö Airport (MMX), Luleå Airport (LLA), Umeå Airport (UME), Åre Östersund Airport (OSD), Visby Airport (VBY), Ronneby Airport (RNB) and Kiruna Airport (KRN) may follow in a later stage.

“Swedavia has set a high goal for increasing customer satisfaction with the ambition of 85 percent approval rate in 2020. With the Xovis queue measurement solution Swedavia expects to get a system in place that meets our expectations and lays the foundation to raise passenger satisfaction and optimize the degree of capacity utilization” says Lena Rökaas, head of operations at Swedavia. “With Danish, Finnish, Icelandic and now Swedish airports on board, we have the chance to demonstrate the power of our system almost all over Northern Europe. We are proud to support Swedavia in increasing the already high passenger satisfaction”, says Andreas Fähndrich, Managing Director Xovis Airports.
