Departure Media announced that it has signed a new ten-year partnership with the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to implement a state-of-the-art advertising concession reaching all 6.8 million passengers who pass through the airport annually. DMI was chosen in a competitive bid process.

The enhanced advertising program proposed by DMI will complement the terminal aesthetics and offer custom displays that are both highly marketable and pleasantly engaging to passengers. Upgrades will include cutting edge digital assets; large format static displays and specialty exhibits. The new contract began September 1, 2016.

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is a public international airport located in Hebron, Kentucky, and serves the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area. The Airport hosts 6.8 million annual passengers with a projected 9 million passengers by 2021. As of December, it has enjoyed 28 months of year-over-year growth in local passenger traffic. With the new contract, DMI is introducing innovative advertising opportunities to major national brands and local advertisers, reaching discernable yet sophisticated consumers.

DMI’s advertising program will feature large format spectaculars, experiential marketing and sponsorship opportunities in addition to unique specialty exhibits and an attractive digital network throughout the terminal. Enhancements include:

  • Large Format Digital Soffit Panels: Visible to all passengers, the terminal-wide digital network offers an exciting media experience.
  • Large Format Spectaculars: Tension Fabric Displays will be framed with custom features unique to CVG. These attractive new displays are lit with low-energy LEDs and offer a “Big” impact with prominent positioning throughout concourses A and B and Tram Stops.
  • Specialty Floor Exhibits: Exhibit space located in baggage areas and ticketing create an onsite showroom for luxury automobiles and high end products, providing affluent consumers with ideal engagement opportunities.
  • Large Format Baggage Median Advertising: Alternative advertising media placed on top of baggage conveyors provide a unique message to passengers awaiting luggage collection.
  • Recharge Charge Stations: Custom designed and fabricated stations located in gate hold areas offer free electrical outlets and seating for passengers to refresh and recharge before and after flights.

“Our vision is to make travel through CVG an unforgettably positive experience,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “We look forward to working with Departure Media as they unveil creative and attractive installations that showcase our community throughout our Terminal and Concourses.”

“We are thrilled about this opportunity and excited to be working with the Cincinnati/N.
