COVINGTON - If the Covington Municipal Airport continues to grow, it could one day need a fire station of its own. Covington Fire Chief Stoney Bowles mentioned that during a February presentation of the Fire Department’s new five-year strategic plan to the City Council.
The strategic plan is part of the Covington Fire Department’s accreditation process and includes seven initiatives they want to try to implement over the next five years, and the fire station at the airport is one of the initiatives.
