San José Mineta International Airport (SJC) is pleased to announce a new carsharing service for travelers. Getaround, an innovative and eco-friendly peer-to-peer rental platform, is now available to provide additional transportation options for passengers traveling through SJC. This service complements the Airport’s existing carsharing offer, Turo, enhancing the variety of transportation choices for Airport travelers.
Utilizing advanced technology, Getaround simplifies carsharing with its proprietary cloud and in-car Connect® system, facilitating a seamless, contactless rental experience. This modern approach eliminates the need for physical interactions, allowing travelers to bypass traditional rental processes and it is accessible in over 1,000 cities across Europe and the United States.

The partnership between SJC and Getaround means that owners can easily share their vehicles and guests can conveniently access cars upon arrival in a designated airport zone for peer-to-peer carsharing services.
Carsharing drop-offs/pick-ups are available at the following SJC locations:
• Economy Lot 1
• Hourly Lot 2 (Terminal A Garage)
• Hourly Lot 4
• Hourly & Daily Lot 5
• Terminal B - Stop 2 (for in-person vehicle exchanges only)

Current Getaround car owners who wish to list their cars for booking at the Airport can sign-up and start the simple onboarding process at getaround.com/rent-your-car. To book a car at SJC, renters can visit getaround.com, or download the mobile app, enter the airport as the pickup address with the desired date and time, and will be provided photos and descriptions of available vehicles, along with details for booking.
