Mission Yogurt, Inc., a restaurant operator and airport concessionaire, has opened TAPS Fish House & Brewery in John Wayne Airport’s (SNA) Terminal C.
The 35-year veteran company had been working for several years to bring TAPS to SNA, originally in partnership with the brand’s previous owners. After TAPS was forced to shutter existing locations last summer due to financial challenges, Mission purchased the brand in order to resurrect the beloved local concept within the airport. Mission is also behind the new Greenleaf Kitchen and Cocktails at SNA, as well as dozens of beloved restaurants at Denver International Airport and San Diego International Airport.
TAPS at SNA will feature a variety of the restaurant’s signature and beloved menu items for breakfast, lunch and dinner, such as the Misoyaki Chilean Sea Bass and TAPS’ famous Brewer’s Fish & Chips – as well as a sushi bar. A selection of soups, salads, appetizers, sandwiches, burgers and entrees from land and sea are also available, in addition to grab-and-go options. All dishes are curated using high-quality ingredients, much from local purveyors including Kai Seafood and Ingardia Bros. Produce. The restaurant also features an extensive beverage menu that includes craft brews from Anaheim’s Brewheim Beer Makers, handcrafted cocktails and California wines.
“We are proud to once again make TAPS available to its many fans,” said Rod Tafoya, president and founder of Mission Yogurt, Inc. “The concept has been a favorite of Southern California diners since it was founded 25 years ago, and we’re looking forward to continuing that legacy for years to come.”
SNA offers multiple full-service restaurants, quick sit-down dining, and “grab-and-go” options for travelers, from a variety of local and national options, as well as retail, news and specialty items. While traveling through John Wayne Airport, guests can explore a public art collection and rotating exhibits, and enjoy live music and trained therapy dogs.
"We are thrilled to welcome TAPS Fish House & Brewery to the Thomas F. Riley Terminal,” said Charlene Reynolds, airport director. “This addition enhances our dining options and brings back a beloved local concept to our travelers. Mission Yogurt's dedication to bringing the flavors and ambiance of TAPS demonstrates a commitment to providing exceptional experiences for Airport guests.”
“John Wayne Airport remains committed to providing travelers a Taste of Orange County with the addition of TAPS Fish House & Brewery to our airport concessions,” said Fifth District Supervisor Katrina Foley. “Since 1999, TAPS Fish House & Brewery served our communities, becoming a true Orange County staple. After TAPS Fish House & Brewery closed its doors last summer, I am happy that residents and travelers can once again enjoy these iconic Orange County flavors at the airport.”
