The Department of Transportation is announcing its proposal to establish a temporary public interest waiver for construction materials for a period expiring 180 days after May 14, 2022. DOT seeks comments on its proposal by May 13, 2022.
This information relates to the Federal Aviation Administration’s implementation of the Build America, Buy America provisions of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). This is applicable to FAA Airport grants programs.
On January 25, 2021, President Biden issued Executive Order 14005, Ensuring the Future is Made in All of America by All of America's Workers, which directs federal agencies to maximize the use of goods, products, and materials produced in, and services offered in, the United States through their financial assistance awards and procurements.
