Manassas Regional Airport Receives Over $1.3M in Federal Grants for Airport Improvements

Oct. 22, 2021

Recently, the U.S. Department of Transportation awarded the Manassas Regional Airport $1,321,992 million in federal grants through the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP). While AIP grants normally require a local cost match, the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) provided funding to cover all AIP grants awarded this year at a 100 percent federal cost share. The federal grants will provide $791,992.00 funding for the Airport’s Master Plan Update and $530,000.00 for the rehabilitation and widening of Taxiway B.

“We are pleased to receive over $1.3 million in grant funding from the FAA Airport Improvement Program. The funds will help our airport plan for future growth and continue to provide excellent customer service to our community,” said Airport Director Juan Rivera.
