For winter and summer maintenance of traffic surfaces, Boschung America introduces Powered by Electric fully electrically powered vehicles
The Urban-Sweeper S2.0 is among Europe’s most popular all-electric street sweeper, while Boschung reports the Pony P3.0 is only all-electric, all-wheel drive multipurpose carrier on the market.
Long operating capability, ultra-fast charging and state-of-the-art technology aim to make switching to electric as seamless as possible. The Boschung-engineered battery at the heart of the Powered by Electric vehicles is a strong muscle whose performance determines how efficient the machine can be.
One-hundred minutes of charging time can power an entire work shift. Designed to optimize the capacity, durability and safety, the 54.4 kWh lithium-ion battery counts 12 modules for a total of 4,320 cells. Twenty-four temperature sensors were engineered to guarantee battery surveillance at all times. The automatic battery heating and cooling system ensures harmless use of the battery throughout the seasons. Integrated directly into the back frame of both vehicles, the battery provides energy to the powertrain with its all-electric motors as well as all equipment and systems.
Urban-Sweeper S2.0
A 2 m3 / 2.6 yd3 sweeper, the Urban-Sweeper S2.0 was engineered and designed for maximum performance.

Urban-Sweeper S2.0 Autonomous
Equipped with a combination of lidars, cameras, mm-waves radars and GNSS antennas the Urban-Sweeper S2.0 becomes a fully driverless sweeper. With 360-degree coverage of its surrounding environment, autonomous wakeup, autonomous parking; the driverless street sweeper cannot only be used in closed areas, it can safely sweep the public streets with a Level 5 certification.
Pony P3.0
The Pony P3.0 is the result of over 50 years of engineering and development work, transforming the iconic 1970 Boschung to a more efficient, sustainable and modernized version of itself.
Fully powered by electricity, the Pony P3.0 was engineered to offer maximum efficiency all year-round with over nine different equipment types and zero emission.
The all-wheel drive powertrain of the Pony P3.0 is driven by four independent and digitally controlled motors delivering the best handling, traction and stability control throughout all weather conditions.
With the new front and back Quick Switch System, the Pony P3.0 can be transformed multiple times the same day. Equipment change is made without the use of any work tools. Stative storage doesn’t require any particular equipment.
